Lascaux Megaloceros (8x10)

$30.00

The Megaloceros of Lascaux is an extinct species of ungulate also known as the “Irish Elk.”

The actual painting in Lascaux is painted with a mixture of charcoal and fat, but this one is made with airbrushed and hand painted acrylic. The spots on its thoracic area are added to give the animal more depth than the original.

The canvas is dry brushed bamboo papier-mâché and sediment, mixed with acrylic gray and golden yellow paint; giving it a limestone appearance.
