This is a reproduction of one of the Aurochs found in Lascaux Cave, France (c. 15,000 BCE). The canvas is dry brushed bamboo papier-mâché and sediment, mixed with acrylic gray and golden yellow paint; giving it a limestone appearance. The textured canvas is accented with black, white, brown, and red. Aurochs is black, raw sienna, and some burnt sienna.
